About Me.
My work in autism advocacy began when I was 15 years old, volunteering in a special education classroom. My own autism and ADHD gave me a distinct gift for understanding the perspectives of neurodivergent learners, while my fascination with psychology helped me communicate with their neurotypical supporters.
I am a clinical psychologist specializing in autism and neurodiversity, particularly disruptive behavior and emotional dysregulation. I offer a variety of services for both professional and lay audiences, including consulting and public speaking.
I have presented my work at the Stanford Neurodiversity Summit and the American Psychological Association Convention, and I am the co-author of the book “Assessment of Autism in Females and Nuanced Presentations: Integrating Research Into Practice”. I was co-recipient of a Marvels of Media award at the Museum of the Moving Image for my work on the social-emotional learning game Ava.
I am an advanced practitioner for Robyn Gobbel’s Being With program and have completed the two-day training for Ross Greene’s Collaborative and Proactive Solutions.
Outside of psychology my special interests include 3D printing, music (current focuses: Will Wood and Neil Sedaka), roguelite video games (current focus: Dawncaster), and weird/horror media (current focus: Twin Peaks).
